1  Overview

Zymbia Interactive Technologies Private Limited ("Zymbia", "we", "us", or "our") operates the mobile application Inspecto: Car Damage Scanner (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use our App.

By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

Key Commitment: We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal identifier. We do not sell or share your data with any third party for commercial purposes.

2  Information We Collect

2.1 Automatically Generated Device Identifier

When you install the App, a random, anonymous installation ID (Account ID) is automatically generated and assigned to your App instance. This ID is not linked to any personal information and cannot be used to identify you as an individual. It is used solely for technical session management and to associate your in-app activity.

2.2 Vehicle Photographs

The core function of the App requires you to take or select photographs of your vehicle. These images are:

  • Stored temporarily in your device's local storage.
  • Transmitted securely to our backend servers via encrypted APIs for the purpose of automated damage analysis (detection of dents, scratches, missing parts, and similar damage).
  • Used by us to train and improve our AI/ML damage detection models.

We advise you to avoid capturing images that contain people, license plates, or other personally identifiable information. If such information appears in a submitted image, it is processed solely for technical analysis and is not extracted or used for identification purposes.

2.3 Technical and Usage Data

We may automatically collect limited technical data to maintain the App's performance and stability, such as:

  • Device type and operating system version
  • App version number
  • Crash logs and error reports
  • Approximate session timestamps

This data is always associated with your anonymous installation ID and never with any personal identifier.

2.4 Information We Do NOT Collect

We explicitly do not collect:

  • Your name, email address, or phone number
  • Your precise GPS or location data
  • Payment information
  • Contacts, calendar, or other device data
  • Cookies or cross-site tracking data

3  How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected for the following purposes only:

Purpose Information Used
Providing car damage analysis and generating detailed scan reports Vehicle photographs
Training and improving our AI/ML damage detection models Vehicle photographs
Session management and App functionality Anonymous installation ID
Monitoring App stability, diagnosing crashes, and improving performance Technical/usage data, crash logs
Ensuring security and preventing fraudulent or abusive use Anonymous installation ID, technical data

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond what is listed above.

4  Data Storage and Security

4.1 Local Device Storage

Photos captured through the App may be temporarily stored on your device's local storage. You may delete these files at any time through your device's standard file management or by uninstalling the App.

4.2 Server Storage

Photos transmitted to our backend servers are stored on secured infrastructure. We implement appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data, including:

  • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Access controls and authentication on our servers
  • Regular security reviews and monitoring

4.3 Data Location

Your data may be processed and stored on servers located in India or in other jurisdictions where Zymbia or its infrastructure providers operate. By using the App, you consent to such processing.

5  Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your photographs or any data derived from them with any third-party company, organization, or individual.

Your data remains solely within Zymbia Interactive Technologies Private Limited and is used only for the internal purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

The limited circumstances in which we may disclose information are:

  • Legal compliance: If required to do so by applicable law, court order, or a valid request from a governmental or regulatory authority.
  • Protection of rights: To protect the rights, property, or safety of Zymbia, our users, or the public, to the extent permitted by law.
  • Business transfer: In the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the successor entity, which will be bound by commitments consistent with this Privacy Policy.

In all such cases, disclosure will be limited to the minimum information necessary.

6  Data Retention

We retain your vehicle photographs and associated data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy — primarily for AI model training and continuous improvement of the App's accuracy.

If you wish to request deletion of data associated with your anonymous installation ID, you may contact us using the details in Section 10. We will process such requests within a reasonable timeframe, subject to any applicable legal obligations.

Technical logs and crash reports are retained for a limited operational period (typically no more than 12 months) and then deleted or anonymized.

7  Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or a higher age where required by applicable local law). We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since the App does not collect any personal identifiers, we cannot verify the age of users.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

8  Your Rights

Because the App does not collect personally identifiable information, many traditional data subject rights (such as access, rectification, or portability of personal data) are limited in scope. However, you have the following rights in relation to the App:

  • Deletion of locally stored photos: You may delete photos stored on your device at any time.
  • Request deletion of server-side data: You may request deletion of photos and data associated with your anonymous installation ID by contacting us (see Section 10).
  • Uninstall the App: Uninstalling the App will remove locally stored data. Data already transmitted to our servers will be retained subject to our retention policy unless you submit a deletion request.

We are committed to honoring reasonable requests in compliance with applicable law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, and its associated rules, and any other applicable privacy regulations in India.

9  Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
